The B&B you'll actually want to come back to.
We're Sarah and Tom. We run Trecove, a three-room B&B on the north Cornwall coast between Padstow and Port Isaac.

Trecove is a three-room B&B in a converted farmhouse on the north Cornwall coast, run by Sarah and Tom Penrose. Rooms look over farmland to the sea. Breakfast is cooked fresh each morning from local produce.

Sarah spent fifteen years in restaurants in Bristol before moving to Cornwall. Tom did the renovation himself and knows every stone in this building.
We opened in spring 2020. The idea wasn't to create a business. It was to create the place we'd always wished we'd found: somewhere that felt like staying with friends who happened to live in the most beautiful part of the country.
Our Rooms
Room 1 — The Garden Room
Room 2 — The Sea View
Room 3 — The Coast Room
Your Cornwall escape starts here
The photos on the website are the actual rooms, taken on an average day, not styled for a shoot. When a guest asks about the coast path, Sarah tells them which sections are muddy, not just which ones are pretty.
What makes Trecove different

Home-Cooked Breakfast
Full cooked breakfast using eggs from next door, sausages from the village, bread from Padstow. Dietary needs sorted properly.

Honest Photography
Every photo on this site is the actual room, taken on an ordinary day. No staging, no filters. Most guests say it's even better in person.

Local Knowledge
Sarah and Tom live here. Their recommendations are specific and personal — the quiet beaches, the best pub for fish, the walk that isn't in the books.

Comfortable Rooms
Three rooms, each with views over farmland. Good beds, proper linen, local toiletries, and tea that isn't a Twinings sachet.
Coast Path Access
The South West Coast Path is a ten-minute walk from the front door. Head north to Port Isaac or south toward Padstow.

Free Parking & WiFi
On-site parking for up to four cars. Fast WiFi throughout. No hidden charges, no surprises.
Things to do nearby
Breakfast portions are generous because Sarah thinks skimpy breakfasts are mean. There's always cake in the sitting room because Tom bakes on Thursdays. Guests aren't charged for extras that should be standard.
Why guests come back
The breakfast is worth the trip
Fresh eggs from next door, sausages from the village, bread from Padstow. Cooked by someone who ran two restaurants before this.
Honest photos, real rooms
Every photo on this site is the actual room on an ordinary day. No staging, no filters. What you see is what you get.
Local knowledge from locals
Tom grew up in Wadebridge. Sarah knows every restaurant within twenty miles. Their recommendations aren't from a guidebook.
See the rooms
We notice things. If a guest mentioned a birthday in their booking notes, there's a card and a small something in the room. If someone arrives looking exhausted, Sarah offers tea and suggests breakfast at whatever time suits them.
What our guests say
“We've stayed in a lot of B&Bs and this is the best. The breakfast alone is worth the trip.”
“Sarah recommended a cove we'd never have found on our own. We had it to ourselves.”
